Coreless – or Ironless – self-supporting coil is the central element of our Brushed DC motors.
The motor’s properties are determined by the magnetic circuit at the stator and the coil at the rotor. The commutator physically contacts the brushes, which are connected to opposite poles of the power source. The rotation’s direction, clockwise and/or counter clockwise, can be reversed easily by reversing the polarity of the brushes.
